French doors, or double-hung casements to be correct, originated in France during the 17th century. Symmetrical and with regular proportions, French doors have rapidly become used for exterior doors and for openings onto small Juliette balconies.

FRENCH DOORS

French doors are very popular today and are an ideal choice if you don’t have a particularly large opening in a wall that would otherwise lend itself to sliding or bifold doors. They can be used with or without side lights and, although they generally open out, it is perfectly possible to choose open-in options depending on your indoor and outdoor space.

All double door styles are Part L compliant ensuring there are no weak points in their thermal performance. Five threshold designs are available, some of which are Part M compliant and perfect for easy access and create minimal trip hazards.

Please note that our ColourTEK system can reproduce any colour for our products, not only the trade colours displayed above.

Due to various reasons, an accurate virtual representation of a RAL colour is not always possible. Physical colour swatches have painted representations of colours, and these can be found at any TeamFrames branch.
