Our French window is an outward-opening double-sashed window, available in all four PVCu sash styles. A French window is perfect for indoor emergency situations that require a fire escape facility, the central mullion is attached to either opening sash which leaves a completely clear exit. This unobstructed opening combined with the twin opening sashes ensure excellent ventilation irrespective of wind direction. By alternating which sash is open means that wind can be either vented indoors or as a shield to deflect the wind. Again, to have both sashes open maximises incoming daylight and enables a wide view back outdoors. All in all, a very practical window for multiple applications.
PVCu PROFILE OPTIONS
Aesthetically, the double-hung sashes have a distinctive equal sightline that always looks balanced and attractive. This style suits plain white PVCu as much as it does a more traditional woodgrain or a contemporary foiled finish such as Anthracite Grey.
As with all four sash designs, multiple glass specifications are available including astragal bars and a dummy transom.
